This route has a real mix of surfaces. You start on the flat, compacted gravel of the Camel Trail, transition to uneven and potentially very muddy dirt tracks through the northern woodlands, and finish with paved lanes and pavements as you skirt the edge of Bodmin. A good pair of waterproof walking boots is highly recommended.
