This walk features a mix of paved, quiet country lanes and dirt footpaths. The footpaths along the river and the creeks are notoriously muddy, especially in winter or after heavy rain. At extremely high "spring" tides, parts of the lower path at Coombe and Old Kea can temporarily flood. Wellies or highly waterproof walking boots are strongly recommended.
