This walk features a great variety of surfaces. The first half utilizes paved village lanes and the wide, flat, compacted gravel of the old tramway along the creek. The inland return swaps this for dirt footpaths, farm tracks, and grassy field boundaries that can become quite muddy after heavy rain. Comfortable, waterproof walking shoes or boots are recommended.
