The coastal section out to Lowland Point and Dean Quarry is notoriously rocky, uneven, and can be muddy; it requires careful footwork. The inland route utilizes farm tracks and grassy fields that are prone to becoming very boggy after wet weather. You will also encounter several traditional Cornish stone stiles on the field boundaries. Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots are a must.

Roskilly's Farm: Roskilly's is wonderfully dog-friendly! Dogs on leads are welcome to walk around the farm trails, in the courtyard, and they even sell special dog-friendly ice cream so your pup doesn't miss out.
