The waterfront stretch (Tamara C2C Way) is relatively flat and well-surfaced. The return leg involves a steady, sometimes steep climb through Pigshill Wood. These woodland paths can be muddy, rooty, and slippery after wet weather, so a decent pair of walking boots or sturdy trainers is highly recommended.

Mount Edgcumbe: The Mount Edgcumbe estate is famously dog-friendly, offering hundreds of acres of varied walking environments.
-
Water Access: The outward leg along the Tamara C2C Way has several little shingle spots where a dog can have a paddle (just keep an eye on the strong estuary currents and sticky creek mud at low tide!).
-
Livestock & Wildlife: While this specific route skirts north of the formal, fenced Deer Park (marked "The Park" on your map), the estate is home to plenty of wildlife. It's always best to keep a lead handy and your dog under close control.
-
Pubs: The Edgcumbe Arms right at the start/finish line in Cremyll is very dog-friendly and a perfect spot for a post-walk drink.
