This walk offers a real mix of ground conditions. In the Golitha Falls woodland, expect uneven, rocky paths woven with thick tree roots that can be incredibly slippery when wet. As you transition to the farmland towards Trethevy Quoit, you'll encounter grassy meadows that turn notoriously muddy and boggy during the autumn and winter months, as well as short stints on tarmac country lanes. Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots are highly recommended year-round, and wellies might be a wise choice if it’s been pouring!
