How to get there: From the A6003 roundabout east of Oakham, follow the A606. In half a mile, turn right to reach Upper Hambleton.

The Walk
A walk around the Hambleton Peninsula, on the shore of Rutland Water.

Walk
1 From the Finch's Arms, head left along the street. After 150 metres, turn left down toward the shore of the lake.
2 Turn right to follow the shared-access trail, to head in a clockwise direction, around the peninsula. The track is shared with cyclists, so pay particular attention as you are walking along it.
3 After around 4.5 miles, pass the driveway to Old Hall, then follow the path back toward Upper Hambleton.
