A circular dog friendly walk around Sale Water Park. The park is located to the south of Manchester city centre. It is an area of countryside and parkland containing a lake, woodland, meadows, the River Mersey, cafe, restaurant and water sports centre.
How to get there
Follow signs to Sale Water Park and Ride and the Trafford Water Sports Centre. Pass by the park and ride parking area and follow the road to the Visitor Centre car park.
Walk
1 Walk out of the car park and toward the lake. Keep to the left side of the lake, and the lake will remain on your right side for the duration of the walk.
2 At point 2, take the left fork and you will walk with the River Mersey to your left now. Follow the path alongside the river right the way around to point 3.
3 Take the right path with the lake close to your right here, leaving the River Mersey behind you. Follow the path down until you are back to the car park.
