Terrain: A highly varied landscape of well-maintained gravel paths, wider forest tracks, narrower winding woodland trails, and some steeper sections, particularly when descending into or climbing out of the Avon Gorge. Expect some muddy and uneven sections, especially after rain or on less-trodden paths. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or boots with good grip are highly recommended.

Accessibility: The immediate paths around the visitor centre and parts of the High Parks are generally wide, flat, and accessible. However, many of the most scenic trails into the Avon Gorge are steep, uneven, and can be challenging, making them less suitable for those with significant mobility issues or pushchairs.
