- Dog Notes:
The coastal path from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle in Northumberland is excellent for dog walking and very popular with dog owners. Dogs can often be off-lead on the main path between the village and the castle, but ensure good control due to the proximity of cliff edges (though generally not sheer right by the main path) and potential livestock grazing in adjacent fields (sheep are common). Dogs on leads are usually welcome within the grounds of Dunstanburgh Castle (but not inside any covered ruins or shop areas). Please clean up after your dog. Craster village has dog-friendly pubs and cafes, making it a great end to your Northumberland walk.
