Liss Forest

Circular walk

This circular walk tracks through trees and heathland. There is water for the more adventurous dogs, however the site is situated close to a live firing range which may frighten some dogs. Downloadable map available here.

Useful Information

How to get there: From Petersfield head north along the A3. At the roundabout take the first exit following signs for "Selborne" on the B3006. Shortly after you enter Greatham turn right to follow signs for "Greatham Village". After passing a couple of houses there will be a lay-by to your left opposite a junction to your right, sign-posted "Liss Forest". Turn Right, the road passes over the A3 and the carpark will be on the left-hand side.

The Walk

An excellent walk along the river.

Map with thanks to Ordnance Survey.

Walk

1 Pass through the gate opposite the road and take the first path to your left. The path will eventually merge with another path that tracks the perimeter of the site.

2 Eventually the path splits in two, follow the well made path to the left and continue.

3 When you get to the star-like intersection of 6 paths, take the first path to the left. Stay on this path, ignoring the various off-shoots to your left and right.

4 Eventually the path will pass through some dense trees, merging with the main track from the carpark. Take a sharp left, heading back to the car.
