Walk
From the car park take the path that leads you past the toilet block. The path will ascend gradually at first before reaching a kissing gate that takes you onto Selborne Common. Pass through the kissing gate turn left and take the path that zig-zags up the slope. At the top of the hill, turn left walking past a house and then pass through a second kissing gate and continue on the wide path that passes through woodland with open glades.
Continue on this main path.
The path will start to descend and eventually reach a cross-roads with other paths on the common, continue straight ahead entering the farming field. Continue on this path and you will eventually enter a church yard.
After passing through the church yard continue straight until you reach the road, there will be a village pond opposite. Follow the road to the left for about 40 metres before taking the bridle path that will lead you back towards the Common. As you enter the Common the path will cross the same cross-road as before, only this time take the path straight ahead.
After about 800m take the sharp hairpin onto the path that would merge with the on you were on. Keep on this new path as it meanders back through the woodland and open glade. Several paths will join and leave this one, keep on it and it will take you back to the foot of the initial zig-zag path and back to the car park.
