Hardcastle Crags is a wooded valley near Hebden Bridge, with a mix of riverside paths and woodland trails through the Pennines. Gibson Mill sits within the valley and makes a useful landmark as you explore, with streams, trees and plenty of natural scenery along the way.
This is a walk with a few route options rather than one fixed circuit, so you can choose between lower riverside sections or higher woodland paths. Toilets and a café are available on site. Please follow local signs and keep dogs close where needed.
Stiles may be present on some routes, so it may be less straightforward for some dogs and owners. Ground conditions and path surfaces can vary, especially on woodland and waterside routes, so sturdy footwear is worth considering.
