This walk offers a true mixed bag of classic Cornish terrain. You’ll start on paved town lanes before transitioning to grassy, often uneven field paths that can become notoriously muddy and slippery after a good bout of rain. The descent to the beach involves soft, deep sand, while the return leg features the well-trodden, occasionally rocky dirt tracks of the South West Coast Path. Because of the stiles, occasional steep gradients, and the likelihood of mud, a sturdy pair of waterproof walking boots is highly recommended.
