The terrain at the Devil's Punch Bowl in Surrey is varied. Paths around the rim and near the visitor centre are often well-surfaced (compacted gravel or stone) and designed to be accessible for many, including some pushchair users and wheelchairs. Trails descending into the bowl or exploring the wider common involve steep ascents and descents on sandy or stony paths, which can be uneven and become muddy after rain. Sturdy footwear is highly recommended for longer or more rugged routes in this Surrey beauty spot. Some paths are bridleways, so be aware of horses.
