Waverley Abbey is a distinctive Surrey walk centred around the historic abbey ruins near Farnham, set beside the River Wey. The setting combines riverside meadows, open ground and nearby wooded slopes, giving the route a good mix of scenery as you explore the area with your dog.
This is a good choice if you enjoy a walk with a sense of history as well as varied surroundings. Paths may include unmade sections and the ground can be muddy in places, so sturdy footwear is worth having, especially after wet weather.
