- Time:
- 1.20 hours
- Difficulty:
- Moderate
- Terrain:
Terrain: A wonderfully varied and often undulating landscape. Leasowes Park is a historically significant 18th-century landscape garden, so expect a mix of wide, well-maintained gravel paths, grassy slopes, and narrower, more natural earth paths through woodland and alongside water features. There are numerous ascents and descents, some of which can be moderate to steep. Paths can become very muddy and prone to puddles, particularly after rain or in wetter seasons, especially in wooded areas and around the water. Sturdy, comfortable, and waterproof walking boots with good grip are highly recommended for both you and your dog.
Accessibility: Due to the undulating terrain, numerous slopes (some steep), and often unpaved or muddy paths, Leasowes Park can be challenging for those with significant mobility issues or pushchairs beyond the immediate flatter sections near the car park. It requires a good level of fitness.
- Facilities:
- Toilets, Cafe, Pub Nearby, - Toilets and a small cafe are located in the main building by the car park. The steep and often muddy paths make it unsuitable for most wheelchairs.
