Terrain: A beautiful and unique urban park, famous for being an historic golf course now reclaimed by nature. The terrain is wonderfully undulating, with significant, but generally gentle, slopes and rises. Paths are a mix of wide, mown grassy tracks, informal earth paths, and some gravel sections. Expect paths to be very muddy and prone to puddles in lower-lying areas or after rain, especially on the grassy slopes. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or boots with good grip are highly recommended.
Accessibility: Due to the undulating terrain and often grassy, uneven paths, Warley Woods can be challenging for those with significant mobility issues or standard pushchairs. It requires a reasonable level of fitness.
