A four-mile circular walking route around Robin Hood's Bay. Robin Hood's Bay is a small fishing village and a bay located in the North York Moors National Park, 6 miles south of Whitby and 15 miles north of Scarborough on the coast of North Yorkshire.

How to get there

Once on the A171 follow signs for Whitby then Robin Hood's Bay is signposted.

Walk

1 Starting from the Station car park, follow the disused Scarborough to Whitby railway line, which opened in 1885 and closed in 1965, for two miles.

2 When the line is about to go across a bridge, turn left down the steps, and then turn left onto the road into Boggle Hole on the coast.

3 Cross the inlet on a bridge to join the Cleveland Way, following its acorn signs along the cliffs, and back to Robin Hood's Bay.
